For one of the world’s widest road tunnel networks, the project required a fire detection system capable of delivering full coverage, fast response times, and seamless integration with tunnel management systems to support safe and efficient operation.
Bandweaver deployed its FireLaser fiber optic Linear Heat Detection (LHD) solution across multiple tunnels, providing continuous temperature monitoring along the full length of each asset. With over 70km of sensing cable installed, the system delivers precise fire location data and real-time insight, enabling rapid detection and response to potential incidents.
Integrated with fire alarm and SCADA systems, FireLaser provides critical data to support ventilation control, incident management, and coordinated emergency response, ensuring the highest levels of safety and operational resilience.
