We’re proud to share that Bandweaver’s fiber optic fire detection technology has been prominently featured in Strade e Autostrade, Italy’s leading infrastructure magazine, as part of a high-profile tunnel modernisation project commissioned by Anas in the Lombardy region.
Working with long-standing Bandweaver partners R.A.E.T. and S.C. Automazione (VN Group), FireLaser DTS was deployed across several Anas-operated tunnels in Lombardy to modernise outdated fire detection without disrupting operations. By utilising existing electrical cabins, PLC infrastructure, and pre-installed fiber optic cables, the project avoided civil works and enabled rapid, non-intrusive installation. The result: faster, more accurate fire detection, improved reliability, and uninterrupted tunnel operation throughout the upgrade.
