Richard Kluth
Managing Director
Richard has more than 20 years’ experience in applying monitoring and instrumentation technologies in a wide variety of industries including upstream and downstream oil & gas, electrical power and fire & security.
Richard has previously worked with Schlumberger, Shell Technology Ventures, Sensornet and Acteon. He has been responsible for introducing a range of new sensing technologies. These include the first downhole fiber optic sensing system to the oil & gas industry.
Richard leads the UK team and is based in the Bandweaver Guildford office.

Erica Fernandes
Operations Director
Erica is part of Bandweaver’s Executive team and has been responsible for global operations since 2016. She has a B.Eng. and M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering.
Before joining Bandweaver, Erica developed and delivered solutions for the marine and oil & gas industries including companies like Cameron, Schlumberger, Acteon and Pharos Marine. She has been responsible for the successful engineering, delivery, and installation of marine navigation aid systems with monitoring and radio control, structural monitoring packages for subsea structures, and process equipment for oil & gas. She has spent hands-on time offshore, on-site and in the workshop on most of the projects she managed.
Erica leads the operations team and is responsible for all aspects post contract award. Erica is based in the Guildford office.

Marinus de Heijde
Business Development Manager
Marinus has over 25 years’ experience in exporting goods and services out of the UK mostly with safety, fire and security related products. Previously, he has been responsible for setting up distribution networks in Europe and the Middle East for fire alarm systems and cloud-based platform solutions.
Marinus is based in the United Kingdom and the focus of his role within Bandweaver is on developing the fibre optic linear heat detection products from Bandweaver in markets varying from transportation applications, such as road and rail tunnels and car parks, through industrial applications including conveyor belts, factories, warehouses and PV panel installations.

Ryan da Costa
Project Manager
Ryan brings over a decade of experience across diverse industries, including agrochemical manufacturing, engineering services, and electrical/electronic manufacturing. Since joining, he has been a key contributor at Bandweaver, leading critical projects and ensuring seamless execution.
As a Project Manager in the Operations Department, Ryan is the company’s go-to expert for DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing) solutions. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his relentless customer support, technical proficiency, and problem-solving abilities. Passionate about delivering high levels of professionalism and expertise, he continuously strives to enhance his technical knowledge.
Ryan has a B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Renewable Energy Engineering. He is based in the Bandweaver Guildford office.

John Ngai
Operations Coordinator
John has the background in financial systems and project management. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Engineering, he has over a decade of experience working with organizations like Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) and Bank of China International Holdings Limited. John specializes in order processing and project management.
John is based in Bandweaver’s Guildford office.

Alfie Joyce
Project Engineer
Alfie is responsible for supporting the delivery of Bandweaver products, including system integration, testing and customer support.
Coming from a background in Mechanical Engineering, Alfie has experience with designing industrial manufacturing systems, training machine learning models for healthcare, and developing instrumentation and signal processing solutions for measuring systems. His interests include sensor and instrumentation systems, signal and data analysis, and industrial monitoring technologies, with a growing focus on distributed sensing applications.
Alfie is based in Bandweaver’s Guildford office.

Sneha Agarwal
Project and Sales Support Engineer
Sneha has five years of experience spanning industrial automation, control systems, and project delivery across international markets. In her cross-functional role, she supports project engineering and delivery while also managing customer accounts, sales support activities, and commercial CRM responsibilities.
With a background in Mechatronics Engineering and Technology Management, Sneha works closely with customers and internal teams to coordinate projects, develop technical solutions, and deliver high levels of customer engagement and support. She has a particular interest in Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) technologies for critical infrastructure and industrial applications.
Sneha is based in Bandweaver’s Guildford office.
