At Singapore’s Marina Bay MRT interchange, an upgrade was required to enhance an existing fire detection system and deliver improved reliability, faster response, and full coverage across both the station and tunnel network.
Bandweaver deployed its FireLaser fiber optic Linear Heat Detection (LHD) solution, providing continuous temperature monitoring along the entire asset. Using a looped, dual-channel configuration, the system maintains operation even in the event of a fibre break, ensuring uninterrupted protection.
With smart zoning and advanced alarm capabilities, the solution enables early detection of temperature rise and precise localisation of events, allowing operators to respond quickly and effectively.
