Bandweaver Technology, a global provider of fiber optic sensing solutions, is delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for two prizes at the Fire and Security Matters (FSM) Awards 2022.
The awards, run in conjunction with the Fire Industry Association are designed to recognise excellence and innovation in the fire and security sectors. Bandweaver Technology have been shortlisted in two categories, for ‘Security Manufacturer of the Year’ and ‘Fire Safety Systems Manufacturer of the Year’.

The FSM awards recognise key contributions to the development of the industry, and we’re delighted to be included amongst a shortlist of such high calibre.”

The judges were looking for entries that demonstrated that the nominee had “gone above and beyond in its commitment to innovation and/or its systems meet the highest standards.”
The award entries submitted by Bandweaver highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, evolving the product range to suit the changing needs of their customers. They were also focused on FireLaser Linear Heat Detection (LHD) system, and Horizon 10km Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) system in the fire and security categories respectively.
Richard added, “Achieving this shortlist is not only pleasing news for Bandweaver, but a great testament to the hard work and diligence of our team as well as our valued partners.”
This year, the Fire and Security Matters Awards are being supported by several key industry bodies, including BAFE, the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, the National Association of Healthcare Fire Officers, the Independent Fire Engineering and Distributors’ Association, The Security Institute, the National Security Inspectorate, the Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board, ASIS UK, the Institute of Strategic Risk Management, and the International Foundation for Protection Officers.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner and FSM awards ceremony, to be held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on Thursday 28 April 2022. The event will be hosted by popular impressionist and comedian Alistair McGowan.
